Leaves of Change VT is a platform to train emerging nonprofit professionals, while also strengthening capacity and collaboration of nonprofits to effectively achieve their mission. Through our three service areas, we offer opportunity to learn for transitioning and new professionals through hands-on work with clients and mentorship. Understanding the importance of networks and collaboration within the nonprofit and international development sectors, we also offer college internships, sponsorships to international conferences, and networking opportunities.
We take an appreciative approach, helping clients build from their strengths and find opportunities for growth or change. Nonprofits need plans to grow, to change or add programming, and/or during organizational transitions. We use organizational assessments based in appreciative inquiry, Strengths/Opportunities/Aspirations/Results (SOAR), meeting analysis, pairwise prioritization, and other tools to catalyze positive change.
We have over 25 years of winning grants from public and private donors, designing hundreds of programs, and creating and managing multiple organizations’ grant pipelines. Leaves of Change VT works with nonprofits to build their grant pipelines, through the complete grant cycle – from mapping to writing responsive and winning applications.
We believe in the power of learning and recognize the need to unlearn ways of Planning and Changebeing and working that reflect and recreate harmful and exclusionary patterns. We support learning through board development, board retreats, and staff retreats. We mentor young nonprofit professionals providing shadowing opportunities with our clients. We catalyze peer-to-peer networks of nonprofit professionals so we can learn together. We support free learning for all nonprofit professionals through blogs, and our online training library (under development).
